Mahashay’ Dharampal Gulati, the legendary owner of the iconic spice brand ‘MDH’ is alive and well, MDH Spices said on Sunday, strongly refuting rumours that the nonagenarian had passed away. Yesterday, media reports had erroneously suggested that Gulati, fondly known as ‘Mahashay’, who is quite popular for appearing in commercials for the spice company, had breathed his last.
However, refuting the claims, family members of the Gulati family have released a video in which Dharampal Gulati can be seen smiling at the camera with folded hands. Apart from that, the company’s executive vice-president Rajendra Kumar told News18.com that the reports were “shocking, baseless and false.” He added that post the rumours of his death, Gulati was, in fact, feeling “young again” as quite a lot of people called up to inquire about his health and express their love for him.
